Join NorTech Energy Enterprise for the fourth event in a series of highly informative, interactive workshops where you will have the opportunity to gain broad global insight from national experts on each of the advanced energy roadmap industry sectors. You will be able to meet and listen to presentations by national experts at the forefront of the dramatic transformation of the power grid. These experts represent the Department of Energy lab responsible for managing all DOE-funded smart grid projects, one of the dominant commercial smart grid integrators, and a research institution supporting utilities on nearly every major smart grid implementation project. They will share with you the latest thinking on smart grid technologies, emerging markets, and the policies and regulations that will drive and shape growth. You will also have the opportunity to raise and discuss issues with these nationally respected industry experts:

Matt Wakefield, Senior Project Manager, Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI)

Mr. Wakefield manages EPRI's smart grid demonstration projects.

Steve Bossart, Division Director for Integrated Power Systems, National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL)

Part of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the laboratory's representative on the Smart Grid Task Force.

Kannan Tinnium, Ph.D.,  Power Systems Platform Leader, GE Energy

Mr. Tinnium presently oversees the Smart Grid Research Programs across GE Global Research.

NorTech Energy Enterprise is developing four advanced energy roadmaps focusing on sectors with compelling regional assets and global market opportunities for Northeast Ohio: transportation electrification, energy storage, biomass/waste-to-energy, and smart grid. This workshop is being hosted as part of NorTech's efforts on the development of a roadmap in the smart grid sector.
